My last comment was cut off. Our closest store is of course Safeway. Sure hoping they make it right so my family (me, 2yr old son, & pregnant wife!) can resume shopping there!

Your video helped me deal with my anger over this debacle. No way in hell my family would have sat there for 4 hours, I'd still be in jail......

@playhard557 you want to have some fun? send it to the execs at Safeway... lol. It will teach them what it means to be a manager and not a hoo hoo... monkey... Thats why there is management to make smart decisions. It is a failsafe mechanism put into place to PROTECT a company from its stupid policies which it KNOWS are stupid but are to vein to amend them. t PS: I wrote you privately.

@387trk Ah yeah, u read me wrong. I ranked ur vid 4 the other day and have it saved. I would have ranked 5 but felt it a bit long to get your main points across. I'm definitely not a manager but do work in a customer service field.

No sarcasm intended. Point I tried to convey was I'm sure any rationale, sane manager would have gladly paid the $5!

I've seen safeway's facebook page and it's a full of pissed off people commenting.

I totally agree with your point pay for the fucking sandwich. Any normal person in the store would have likely paid for the couples sandwich, let alone they just spent $50 AND tried to pay for the sandwich when confronted!
