Courage by the Sea: Revolutionary Tales of the Gibbes Family is a student program that highlights the Gibbes collection of landscapes and portraits that trace the history of Charleston from the Revolutionary War to the dawning of the Civil War. Students end the program by becoming actors in a drama led by professional storyteller Mary Droge. Perfect for students studying South Carolina history, with curriculum connections to Art, Language Arts, and Social Studies.
