THIS IS IT. This, THIS is the song! This is the song my father and I will dance to at my wedding. None of the popular suggestions appealed to me because they were all about how FATHERS feel about DAUGHTERS.

Because I'm choosing it, i want a song about how I feel about my FATHER. And this pretty much sums it up.

The song makes me think about loss of innocence, of childhood heroes diminished and forgotten with the passage of time; like in the song Puff the Magic Dragon.

It’s a eulogy, but it’s also a lament: “Sometimes I despair the world may never see another man like him”.

The Man of Steel personifies an unshakeable belief that Good and Evil exist, can be untangled, and the former will always triumph over the latter. So what to make of his passing? It's the end of another kind of innocence.

If we forget it and let it go, then the innocence goes with it, but there is always going to be a land of Honalee in our heads, we just have to let it flow.............!

Wonderful song- gee this band was so great- what became of them? Superman fascinated me- a God passing as a human- comic-book Christ--he had taken an oath of anonymity and relative poverty- he abased himself to serve others

This video reminds me of Frank Miller's "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns" by Frank Miller. In it we see all the superheroes as decrepit old men - except for Superman. And he almost dies after absorbing the energy of a bunch of nuclear warheads. Good times...
