Trying a few pedals out through my Bluetron Blueverb amp. The amp is running two 70's RCA 6L6GC tubes at around 40 watts. Speaker cabinet is a 1x15 with an old JBL E130. Unfortunately, my recording techniques leave a lot to be desired right now, as the amp just sounds terrific in the room . . . just the most deep, rich and lush 60's Fender tone you can imagine. I have the amp set fairly clean in this video, but it will do medium higher gain stuff as well. Hopefully I can do another vid of the amp in a higher gain setting and a humbucker guitar.

I'm also playing through a Jersey Girl Fulltender pedal from about 1:30 on. This is my favorite low-medium gain pedal on Earth, LOL --- closest thing to "SRV-in-a-box" that I've tried . . . just gives the guitar a deep throaty growl. Works great in every amp I've tried it in as well. Later on in the clip I click on a KR Megavibe (small box) --- Love this pedal! Beautiful lush vibe sound.

Sorry about the recording quality --- the fuzziness you may hear wasn't evident in the room and is likely from me overloading the mike during recording. I'm new to home recording and have a long way to go with my learning curve.

  • Are you using the true vintage in this clip?

  • @coughlintm

I believe I still had the VZ Vintage + in the neck position when I recorded this.

  • please help me...i have had my early Fulltender for a few years. i cannot get any good medium overdrivey sound out of it. what is the good settings to use PLEASE HELP. i live in Texas = what to do for my SRV fix ?

  • In this vid, gain about 12:00 noon, volume around 10:00, both switches ON. This into any decent Fender style amp should do the trick. Also, I usually have the guitar volume down to 8 or 9 to clean things up a bit.

  • I've always wondered how those amps sound. Even with the distortion, the amp still sounds great. The playing doesn't hurt either. Very, very nice.

  • Thank you --- I enjoy your videos quite a bit!

  • It's very rare that I comment on a clip, but I felt compelled to tell you that I really enjoyed your playing and your demo video. Not only because I'm a Bluetron owner myself, but because you sound really good! Keep on Choppin'!
