A film project for Portia's history class. We filmed for only fifteen minutes off a concept developed that very same day due to a time constraint. The wind was intense, the ice cream was melting, and I didn't have a tripod handy. So we did our very best with what we had. Decided to go European with this one, hence the sexual innuendos. Her teacher wouldn't allow it so I had to edit a PG version for class (NOT the version you see here), but American-minded people would never appreciate the art of clever parody and double entendre. It's meant to be sarcastic, witty, and overall charming. Listen to the script if anything and the language he uses to proclaim his love to her, which is all in vain as she has become absorbed in the magnificence of the ice cream and has applied his terms of endearment to her treat. In the end, she could care less about the man she hardly knows who has spent many nights gathering the courage to write this letter, spilling his guts out to her. I think it's a very good concept, but alas, some people are too by-the-book. Anyway, give me your own feedback. I'd appreciate it. The concept was mine but a lot of her acting and gestures were her idea and I simply framed around them. [Song: "Assassin's Tango" by John Powell from the "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" soundtrack.]
