I once found a shiny Pidgey. I was like 8 or something, so I was like: "Wtf?" Then I ran.

My only 2 Shinnies that i have caught in my life of playing pokemon.
1: Sandshrew in Safari Zone, took me 2 attempts in throws in Soul Silver i believe.
2: Wobbuffet in Safari Zone, took me 1 attempt to catch it in Expert Emerald.

now that really blows blows... literally. I only have red gyarados in HG. Without cheating I never saw a shiny in the wild.

If I saw that I wouldn't hesitate to just catch it. I'm scared that it would use self destruct so I would've wasted no time just flinging pokeballs.
