1. That is an olympic level boxer (or so it says on the title)

2. Boxing in MMA isn't the same as in a boxing fight. Its not that they don't have the skills, but you'd get taken down instantly if you had a 100% pure boxing style.

If this were an actual boxing match and not just a sparring session, JDS wouldn't last the first round.

A world class boxer will always beat a world class MMA fighter in the boxing ring... it's just common sense. You are comparing a guy who dedicates all of his training towards throwing and avoiding punches to a guy who also has to worry about kicks, takedowns and groundfighting.

@RooCHToTB Also the boxer is MUCH smaller than Junior, therefore much faster. It's sparring so Junior cannot impose his immense power and tenacious advantages. Lastly I just want to say mixed martial artist whip up on boxers, kickboxers, muay thai fighters, sanda, tae kwon do and karate phenoms and champions standing and their striking deserves a lot more repsect than it gets. It's different even the "boxing" in MMA is much different. You don't compare basketball to foootball for a reason.

@RooCHToTB It's also sparring not a fight.It's also boxing, not muay thai, kickboxing or martial arts. I promise you Junior is a much better STRIKER than this guy, but he is not a better boxer why? Because he isn't a boxer. Fabio Maldonado a 22-0 boxing champ wiht 21 knockouts gets outstruck by lowly guys on the feet, there's other Olympic boxers getting beaten striking in MMA more than people would think and pro boxers for that matter too.Let alone the ground game and takedowns and transitions.
