I am stating a simple fact that society has made straight men feel like they could not listen to certain artists because those artists were sometimes very popular in the gay community. Music is universal. If it is good I listen to it. No race, sexual orientation, etc should be a factor in listening to good music.

@delmas1986: very well put...... I had a similar discussion with a friend of mine recently about the same thing. While it is difficult to say there is no such thing as a "girl song" or "guy song" (for how can someone REALLY disagree that "oh mickey your so fine" is NOT a girl song..... lol lol) but in actuality, music has no gender, for the lyrics can be gender switched.

Its' so stupid that you can't like certain artists because you will be considered gay. So ridiculous. I am a straight married man, and I think Tina Rocks and so does Cher. Both are beautiful talented ladies.
A real man does not worry about being considered gay because of the music he listens to. Only men who are insecure about their own sexuality are worried about such things.
