Family Affair Intro with Buffy and Jody

Family Affair intro from Season 5 (1970-71). Interestingly, some later episodes of this TV series featured the characters Buffy and Jody introducing the show, much the same way that Mr. French did for a few of the last shows. Fred MacMurray also said "Hi welcome to our show" at some of the My Three Sons openings, showing the link that Don Fedderson shows had in the production arena. Imagine being a 4-5 yr old little girl at the time this show was popular. I loved it. Complete with the circus, intro music with all the colors.... ha!

It was great being a a 6-7 year old boy at that time, too....and then came syndication to make sure we didn't forget. I remember the shock at age 14 of hearing that 18-year old Anissa (Buffy) died.....

WOW. I never knew this. I used to use drugs in high school. I am so glad I predominantly became a distance runner and left them behind-that's 30 additional years of mostly happy memories and some sad ones I would have missed, had I died at her age...

Frank DeVol, who composed & conducted the theme music here was a great musician. He also did the theme for My Three Sons.

i just watched the first episode on MeTV today, June 17, 2012 featuring buffy.

it was at times touching, funny and yet straight out of a hollywood script. i had never seen the first episode, and as a child i rarely watched the program. nonetheless it was fun and oddly very moving to watch anissa jones!

I have a secret..I look like a DAMN fool boppin to the theme song every morning when it comes on, plus i have it for my ringtone!
