Claude Debussy (1862-1918)

Beau soir ("Lorsque au soleil couchant les rivières sont roses"), song for voice & piano; lyrics by Paul Bourget (1852-1935)

Véronique Gens, soprano.
Roger Vignoles, piano.
1998.
-
Et monter vers le cœur troublé ;

  • @DarkxComexSoon no comments if that was a butchery :S Debussy is burning in his grave now :S

  • @Hopffnung haha I heard it today for the first time..though my chorus teacher completely butchered it, it was still breath-taking.

  • Why Debussy is so fabulous? I feel when I heard this piece, like a leaf touched by crystal drops of gentle water, caressed by wind, so fluid, where every moment natura express its color with such kindness at par of elegant and sweet fragrances in this beau soir which makes every moment perdurable. I LOVE YOU DEBUSSY!!!

  • Beautiful music, so easy to listen to and be absorbed into. Thank you for the post.

  • Very beautiful! Wonderful, rich voice! Brava! Thanks for posting.

  • Beautiful singing, very tasteful

  • what an incredible video to go with this. Most excellent video!

Merci!
