The footage shows the illegal killing of protected birds of prey by maltese hunters in September 2009. The clips have been filmed by members of the Committee Against Bird Slaughter who work on Malta to combat illegal hunting of migratory birds.

Der Film zeigt, wie maltesische Jäger im September 2009 streng geschützte Greifvögel (Wespenbussarde) abschießen. Das Material wurde von Mitgliedern des Komitees gegen den Vogelmord erstellt.

  • Maltese goverment dont want to stop the illigal hunting, because he is afraid of loosing power.

if he want to stop the illigal hunting, i am shure there is a way,we must protest in Brussils infront the Maltese embasy in Brassils.

  • @MuslimApostate Hey most probably your government is sending your people to slaughter, so what is the fus you're making. I don't like seeing birds being shot either, but hey, saying that you'll never come to Malta again just because over here they kill birds is one of the dumbest statements of all time! I bet that with your religion you abandoned even your logic and your common sense. So u are saying that u didn't find Malta interesting. You didn't like your stay? What's wrong wit ur idiot mind?

  • You know its this unrestrictive bird slaughter by ignorant maltese rednecks which is why i am never wasting money on a vacation to malta ever again.

  • @555713 So you are a hunter then.....as usual "not us must be someone else from another country who is lying"... sorry but Europeans are not that gullible.

  • @MjrDario you will win a lot of fans talking like that...the fact that nothing appears to be done year after year to either stop this or limit it IS a shame on all Malta starting at the top. people in the real Europe are concerned at what is happening to birds that they see in their country when they overfly yours and Cyprus. An Information campaign on what is happening aimed at your tourist industry would soon focus peoples attention there when they start to lose money...

  • usual shit replies from hunters just like those in Cyprus, go look elswhere, dont spoil our fun. So you think two wrongs make a right? thats not an intelligent answer!

You shoot things that you cannot even eat! that is "sport" for you. The EU fines Malta and Cyprus for its illegal hunting activities, how long do you think other citizens are being penalised in taxes are going to pay for your fun?

And Yes the blame starts with the government ignoring international laws.

    time to boycott Malta.

  • It is simply disgusting what these maltese men do!

  • @debuerutarnhem Never shot one and there was your name on it !! If they could be yours they could be ours too , no??

  • Even i was going on a vacation to Germany on October 2010 but then i rememberd that most of the Germans don't like to come to Malta. So there's no way i'll be visiting Germany. !!

  • Right now the wannabe rambos are killing birds in Malta again. Have a look at the CABS website (wwwkomiteede) an the online report of teh Times of Malta.
