Following the recognition of the State of Israel in 1948, Jewish militias quickly defeated the Arab armies that stood in their way as thousands of Palestinians fled their villages, or were forcibly removed by the advancing Israelis. In some villages, the inhabitants were rounded up and executed, and as word of these massacres spread, many more began to leave in panic. Others simply left, believing that they would return to their homes when the fighting was over. For Israelis, 1948 was a triumph in their quest for a safe haven from centuries of persecution, culminating in the Holocaust. But for the Palestinians they displaced, this event is known as "al Nakba", or the Catastrophe.

@Kbrt111 No you need to look at from a historical perspective. The Arab world had no borders for a 1000 years - an expulsion from one nation to another is an alien concept in the Arab world. Nationalism of the 20th century created false borders that didn't exist before, hundreds of thousands of families, seperated by imaginary lines, with guns on them.

you twisting the truth...all the people expelled in the period after WWII till 1953 (all 50 mln of them) are full citizens not in the countries they were kicked out frin but in the countries where they were either forced to settle or chosen to settle..Not in their countries as you stating...

Ben Gurion himself admitted that the Palestinians, an agricultural people, had striking resemblence in their farming methods to the Biblical Hebrews, and that they were the closest thing to the original Hebrew population, ON EARTH.

Makes perfect sense. - They are being punsihed for having a different religion, just like Jesus.

the guy in the video starts with the lie..all people were allowed to return to their homes..riiiight..50 mln people were evicted from their homes between 1945 and 1953..and never came back..those were Germans, Poles , Ukrainians, Japanese, Finns, Muslims from India, Hindus from Pakistan as well as million of Jews from Arab countries..700 000 Arabs --are nothing special..

The arabs had driven out all jews or kill them all in the cities they had conquered during the 48 war. In Gush Azion They killed all the women, children and men. If they had won the 48 war even a single Jew would not remains in all the Land of Israel.
