Just went outside and filmed a few flowers with my Sony HDR-XR500V. Recorded HD quality. A super slowmotion test is there, too.
Color correction done in Synthetic Aperture Color Finesse 2.
Cut in Premiere Pro CS4 exported to fl4.
This was to test out the DoF (depth of field) of sonys new HDR camera.

I'm looking for a telephoto lens that will work with the Sony HDR-XR500, but I'm having the biggest amount of difficulty... I've been told that only High Grade lenses work on it and must be on a 30mm adapter ring, but I can't find any HG lenses on adapter rings... Is there any info you can give me on lenses for this model?

Yes, if you want to apply another lens not made for this camcorder, you need an adapter ring.
