    Im 23 and just figured out that dion sang these songs and he is awsome. where are guys like dion, bobby darin, and dean martin now. all I hear now is this stupid pop crap that doesnt sound anything like music to me at all.

    Thats because todays bands are created and pushed together to sing bullshit songs.

    People like Dion, Bealtles. Dean Martin, Sinatra, Sammy Davis, anyway you get the picture.

    Dion said that he was supposed to board the plane with Buddy Holly, Big Bopper, and Richie Valens. He chose to take the bus-it was cheaper. He said it has haunted him ever since.

    The TV show was in the 80's, Letterman's early years, but the tune is from the 60's. Letterman was not on TV in the 70's yet.

    well spotted dude - i have following this stuff since 50's, never found much better. if you like smooth voices, look up Sam Cooke, Ricky Nelson etc, if you like BIG voices look up Marty Robbins, Crash Craddock( a hit only in australia) or Franki Valli. good luck with that , great music lives forever.
