Measures 66 and 67 make Oregon's tax system fairer and protect critical services. Right now, more than two-thirds of corporations doing business in Oregon pay just $10 a year in the corporate minimum income tax. The corporate minimum hasn't changed since 1931. At the same time, the economic crisis is threatening Oregons ability to fund essential services like education, healthcare, and public safety, making life more difficult for Oregonians state-wide.
Ah, the Democrat mentality: when the unions, entitlement programs, and busted government run out of money, just tax more. Don't reform them! Don't limit their grasping hands! Just tax 'the rich'! And then wonder why 'the rich' leave your state!
Die screaming, Oregonian hippies.

It is my opinion that education gets hit the hardest because it hurts the most. We need to find the money
that education needs within the money the government already gets.
The legislature can redirect any state money anywhere they want and they regularly do. They will
say that the purpose of one tax increase is for one cause and then turn around and redirect it out
into another budget once it is in their control.

I work in a group home supporting people with autism. This program is funded by the state. If these measures fail, I may lose my job. Please protect funding for disability services and vote YES on these measures.

Most corporations in Oregon are family run businesses and pay out company profits as personal income. Which they pay income taxes on. This can and will put small busineses deeper into a finanical bind. This will cost jobs.

In a down economy it would be nice if the state government can trim some fraction of costs compared to what the private sector is going through rather then just trying to leech more money from the job creators. We dont need more taxs in any form, the state needs to control its out of control spending.
