If you open it up and Cut the little white box on the other side of the board, if won't heat up, because that white box is the heating element to evaporate the fragrance liquid. This will keep it from getting really hot and possibly burning out. I use one of these inside my pc case and I'm going to buy another to make a halloween mask out of.
