While not my first FPV flight, this is the first FPV flight I recorded and put online. The lake you see is the "Kuhsee" southeast of Augsburg, Germany. Equipment: Multiplex EasyStar with 480 class motor, 9.9V LiFePo4 battery, 10mW transmitter, fixed KX-171 camera. I use a single 8dBi patch antenna on the ground. Some visible interference can be attributed to having the motor controller and video equipment on the same battery.

  • Thanks for your comment! You're right, I use a pack of A123s without a step-up converter. I followed your advice and put two ferrites on the cables. Tomorrow I'll see whether this and maybe a separate battery will help.

  • Nice setup! In my plane i have a 1,3 Ghz 300mW tx, i had interference in my video in the beginning. I put the power wire to the tx and camera a couple of turns around a ferrite ring and got rid of the interference, also good to put one between esc and motor.. You use A123 battery ? Do you use a step-up converter for camera and tx ? if not, i would recommend it, i think that would give you better range and less interference. (for A123) Looking forward to see more videos from you !
