Install zhiing on your Android!

Mobile phones can figure out where the heck they are via three methods: by picking up cell towers and calculating an approximate location by triangulating between them (this works when GPS is out of range) or by using GPS, where your phone picks up satellite signals for triangulation (this doesn't work so well indoors), assisted by a wifi signal (which works great indoors.)
