you dumb shits! The police shot him because he reached into his pockets off camera and the police engaged gunfire because their and the citizen's lives were in danger. If the kid was allowed to reach into his pocket and pull a weapon it could have been tragic for the police.

@415piggy Actually, if you count the 4 suspects and the 4-5 people who encroached on officers, refused their orders and one of whom attacked a cop, the police were outnumbered 2-1. If you want to add to that the dozens of people on the train becoming hostile, cops were outnumbered 4 or 5 to one, minimum. Mehserle panicked, and commited a criminally negligent mistake. Absolutely he deserves jail time for shooting him. He should have confirmed it was his taser and not his sidearm.

and that guy was a 2 year veteran there! he puts his fucking badge and gun on his hip every fucking day im sure he knew what side it was on. they already have him with his face in the ground and if you watch a clearer video you can see the officer searching him while the other officer has a knee on his neck and head. and he even looks to see what he was grabbing right before he pulled it out. and he even had a second to realize he pulled out a gun when he stood up. and he has been trained
