Joanna Furnace is a historic remnant of the thriving early iron industry of Berks County, Pennsylvania. It was single stack, cold blast, charcoal iron furnace. Today, under the stewardship of Hay Creek Valley Historical Association, it is being restored to its former glory and has come to serve as a cultural center for the celebration of Berks County's rich agricultural and technological past.
