Ronan and Friends at Shannon Airport September 1988.mpeg

Ronan Keane and his friends had just stopped by the Shannon Airport after watching a part of the Tour of Ireland Bicycle Race. They helped me figure out how to use one of the public telephones in the airport lobby just before my parents and I had to return home to Georgia, USA. The phones were quite different than what I was used to in the USA. I was grateful, and wanted to be sure and include them in my video of my visit to Ireland. Thanks again!

Thanks! I'm glad that brought back some memories. From start to finish - everyone was very nice to us during our visit to Ireland, including the ones pictured here. I wished I'd taken more video inside the airport. Now, I'm glad I didn't edit out the view of the Aer Lingus 747!

Wow, remember those days, that escalator in the back was up to the old Duty Free area/departures, nice to see the 747 Aer Lingus jet at the end. Great to see old footage of Shannon in days gone by
