The bass line he created for the original On The Slilent Wings is really something! Amazingly unpredictable from the beginning to the end. He is the music, making it easy for Howe and Wakeman put just the best strawberries on top. The best song of the album by far, and so good as all the best Yes has done. Too Good!
it was not the whole song. was just the intro that was part of the bass solo section (plus The Fish, Sound CHaser, Tempus Fugit, etc) Meanwhile you can take a look at the bass cover i did ;)
I sure hope somebody out there HAS got the whole song. I saw it played live at Wembley London in 78. Squire's bass sound is awesome. (His Ricky bass was routed via DDL 'harmonizer' for added effect.) Powerful is an understatement. Simply the best !!
The bassist's bassist! Five of the greatest ever. Pound for pound, the best. You could take their cast-offs and make a super group...but the 5...those few, those precious few, we band of brothers. For he that sheds a tear with me this day shall be my brother and be he ever so vile, this music shall gentle his condition. And gentlemen and critics, back home in bed who do no work this day, shall consider themselves accursed...and hold their manhoods cheap, when anyone sings of this band.
Sound Chaser from 1:44 & The Fish from 2:22.

Pretty sure this is Homdel, Masterworks tour 2000. Excerpted from Chris's bass solo / Whitefish. I was at the Concord, CA show. Awesome.

I've been looking for the bass tab for this song and can't locate it. Anyone know where I can get my hands on it?

Squire looks like a weird butcher, and White like a sinister Abbot from Yonderland. Both drunk, of course.

The video stops at 1:46m. It´s just me? It´s a great solo anyway. Chris is the man.
