The amazing Paul Gilbert with Scotland.

If it's already been upload, i'll delete it, let me know ;-)
Paul said on the Racer X Board:

"Wow! I haven't seen that video in a while. That was filmed after I formed Racer X in L.A. and finished recording "Street Lethal". I was 19. I went back to Pennsylvania for a visit and had a jam session with my former band mates who had obviously learned some of the tunes. I used to play with the drummer and bassist in a band called "Yield". The off-camera singer that you mention was from "Scotland". He played bass and sang in Scotland and later played bass for the band "Baton Rouge".

Thank you for being interested in the details.

Paul

And now check out "Lambretta"...

  • the most badass guitar on earth

  • @DegraDeadlock What an unpleasant person you are.

  • Great vid, thanks for posting!!! That was how Paul used to hold the pick; he changed because it was putting too much pressure on his thumb... love it when the audience bursts into laughter (of amazement) after he finishes that unaccompanied bit.

  • lol hes so skinny

  • Nice Nicolo Paganini's version

    :)

  • Here's what Paul says about that guitar, which is now owned by another Paul fan, and he's posted videos of it on youtube here.

"My very first guitar endorsement was actually with a small company owned by Wayne Charvel. He had sold his name to Grover Jackson, so I can`t even remember what the guitar was called. Soon after, Wayne went to work for B.C. Rich. Being a loyal guy, I followed him there. That`s when they made the fabulous PINK MOCKINGBIRD that you now own."

  • I belive he won that custom BC at guitar Wars contest in LA

  • ...who was that on Bass? ...it kinda looked like Billy Sheehan, and then he broke out into "High Speed on Ice" by Talas right at the end...

    Joseph.
