This is a second "live performance" of the Irish Folk Song - Down by the Sally Gardens- by Amadea (Mezzo-Soprano). Here she is being accompanied by Zenta Yoshiizumi (Piano).

The performance took place on Bloomsday (June 16, 2007) in the shop, "Irish Berlin." It was sung as part of a Bloomsday Performance in Berlin together with a Book Premier of the contemporary Irish Poet, Gerald Dawe, for one of his new Books, "The Visible World." "The Visible World" has also now been translated into German by Ni Gudix (Morgana Verlag, Leipzig; 2007).

Bloomsday is a national holiday in Ireland, which celebrates the life of the Irish writer, James Joyce. This holiday is named after the main character of James Joyce's book, "Ulyses" -- Leopold Bloom. All of the events in "Ulyses" take place on one day in the city of Dublin, Ireland -- that is June the 16th in the year 1904. This day is now called Bloomsday in Ireland and all over the world. People like to drink, eat and even recite "Ulyses" sometimes from beginning to end on Bloomsday.
