  • This is so cute-- I want to see another one in 6 months when the dog weighs over 100 pounds!

  • Yeah, we figure he's about 150 lbs now, and definitely *not* small anymore. Still acting like a goofy five-year old (kid) at least a couple times a day, but 'adulthood' is starting to seem like a concept he might one day fully grasp. :)

  • Very cute! But I can't figure out if Wilbur thinks he's a cat or if Benny thinks he's a Landseer Newfoundland.

  • Both, I think! We have an all black female newf who raised Benny (he even drinks out of the toilet because he watched her do it). And without a doubt, Benny is Wilbur's best friend and is basically raising the little marauder. Half cat/half newf, on both sides!

  • How very excellent. Thanks to all of you.

  • I have met both W&B; Benny is essentially a JTF2 commando (I have the scratches on my legs to prove it), and Wil is only 10 weeks old-the newest addition to the unit. It would appear that Benny is training Wilbur to kill (Spartan, anyone?); I'm confident that Wil will make a fine soldier in due time, given the drill sergeant under whom he's taking his Basic Training. All Wilbur has to learn: when in close quarters, a "69" position isn't appropriate; that's a different kind of combat altogether.
