How to take your snap on off

If I were to do that with my cosmos 2 sliding phone it would snap in half, I have a cover on it and I don't no how to take it off. When ever I do the back of the phone gets loose and it kind of comes of. So then I just get scared an snap the case back on. I have a body case for mine to. I like it because it doesn't make the phone bulky. So their really is no reason for me to take the cover off but does any one no how???? An answer would help.
