@GamingManiaQ Lower doses are usually just effective. Don't worry, it'll still get the job done. The only difference is a higher one further decreases the chances of it coming back in the future.

does accutane take care of the red marks aswell? cuz like now ive got no active acne its just all left over stuff n im on like month 4 (middlish) n its like just red marks...do they go away?

@SohailM77 yea I had red marks too cause of how much healing my face was doing. For the most part mine have gone away and yous should too. but if your acne was bad it's going to take a long time to heal. ask your derm to make sure though

How'd you tell your doctor that you wanted to be put on Accutane? I know that many dermatologists don't like prescribing it to their patients, but did you just come out and say "I want to be put on Accutane"...?

@Naive991
No I never asked to be put on Accutane. I was prescribed numerous ointment and pills but none worked, one pill even gave me an allergic reaction. Due to the severeness and the lack of success wit other meds, my derm decided that we had to be more aggressive and go with accutane. It's really a last resort and most derm's view it as such
