Just a quick little video of my buddy doing a little 6 round rapid fire session with his 40's K31 Swiss service rifle. Also you get to see the way these rifles load which is very unique and cool. I will be posting my own rapid shooting video of this rifle soon as well. Just a little fun with the best surplus gun money can buy.

  • Of course it can't go wrong it's a Swiss weapon

  • The worst feature about the K31 is the BHO. When you fire off the last round and hit the BHO, it serves as a physical confirmation that you did in fact just burn off $5 in ammo.

  • @TheRusty58 you're lucky ! where I live, it's very hard to get a license to own a gun and there isn't many gunshops :s it's a good thing that your country didn't join the EU :)

  • @scepticpatriot Otherwise actually used to shoot with my Sig 510 assault rifle, I like very much the shooting with the old army K 31 of my father. He gave my his gun and I like its accuracy and the feeling to shoot with it!

By the way, 36 rifle cartridges Swiss 7,5 x 55 here in Switzerland cost about 20 Francs, about 22 $.

    Regards from Switzerland!

  • @pickinthatbanjo thanks

  • @scepticpatriot I see what you mean. Well I don't own a K31 but from my understanding the only real difference between the bolts are that they moved the locking lugs to the rear of the bolt and reworked the bolt a bit so it's shorter. The locking lugs are pretty large and the bolts are pretty solid so I would not be too concerned about it firing out of battery.

If fired out of battery I suppose it could be possible, though the 1911 bolt slams itself closed in those situations.

  • @TheRusty58 ok :)

  • @pickinthatbanjo I meant when you shoot and the bolt fails to stay in place :)

  • @wysoft Up here it's more like $10-15, pretty much have to handload that cartridge in Canada.

@scepticpatriot I got a 1911 which predated the K31 but it's still pretty similar, I would have to say there is a good chance that ring safety/cocking handle could punch you in the face if you don't move when racking the bolt, depending on how far forward you rest on the stock. I always get out of it's way just in case.

  • @scepticpatriot

No fear, there's no risk! The danger is in front of the rifle!

  • @NordicThunder24

Please tell me, what's your problem??

  • is there a risk for the bolt to go backwards and hit the shooter in the face ??
