Instead of gripping from overtop of the leg and pulling the leg up, what if we were to place the back of the hand underneath the leg and hyperextend the wrist as a hook and pull up and away in that method?

Why is this a substitute for bodyweight rows? Also, how do we put more emphasis on the middle deltoids? My elbow flexors tire much more quickly.

The emphasis is on elbow flexors first and middle deltoid second.
