@ThePriami It's made me try it! But uh... I suck and I have no idea what I'm doing :L I mean, I get how one is SUPPOSED to ski and do all this crazy stuff around the map buuuut that isn't really working out for me.

Oh, and I still play T2 sometimes. Too bad that it's kinda dead, but maybe Ascend will make new Tribes fans and get them to try T2, too.

I can't understand why Ascend is getting so much hate from those who call themselves "real" Tribes-fans. I've played all Tribes-games, and you know what? I enjoy Ascend VERY much. Sure, it's not as good as T2, but you have to remember that It's still beta, not a complete game. So far, the devs have been doing a lot better than I first expected.

People nowadays have such a short attention span. Call of Duty and Battlefield have gotten people used to ~10min games. I'm glad T:A has 25min match times. It's the way it needs to be.

@pdo400 I played it at PAX this weekend. For a F2P reinvention with predictable "modernizations" it remains remarkably true to its original form. Skiing is turned into an intentional feature, and feels great. Maps are massive. Speed is breakneck. Not to mention it's the most polished alpha I've ever seen.
