Lee de Forest is without contest the father of electronics.
He invented the triode lamp which allows the amplification of signal.
This invention is at the origin of the development of a quite new science which changed our lives, electronics.
This science which was totally unknown in the 19th century completely changed the face of the 20th century.
It allowed the development of radio, television, computers, automatic guiding systems...
With his invention of the triode, Lee de Forest is a major actor of our modern era.

  • Nice video.

I did a biographical speech on De Forest when I was in the sixth grade, so De Forest has a special place in my heart.

By the way, what's your native language? French?

  • @rsp196607

Yes, my native language is French.

And Lee de Forest also has a special place in my heart, and since I was a kid, for I got interested in electronics early, as my father was himself a fan of electronics.

Lee de Forest is a great American, and I respect him as a great scientist!

  • Well done, however would have been heaps more interesting if the music was mixed down or removed, and the text replaced by narration.

  • @F111C4EVER

I have never posted a video with my voice.

I have almost never used voice, and when I have, I have used synthetic voice, not my own voice.

    I don't trust my voice.

  • @nasafakedit

I use music that I know it will not be banned.

  • @hunchbacked you make brillaint videos

    but your music is suicidal

  • I'm preparing another video to explain how a radio receiver can select the waves it receives, something I have mot made clear in this video.

  • I like to make vulgarization videos, share the knowledge.

What I haven't talked of, it's how the receiver station selects the carrier of the broadcasting station the listener wants to hear.

But I intend to make a special video to talk about this subject.

Talking about it in this video would have made it too long (it's already 10 mn long).

  • Yet another really neat video. Two thumbs up.

  • Nice video. I really like the animation of the triode tube.
