Here is my latest video blog on my adventure with prostate surgery. Go day and this is where you'll meet Dr. Butler, the Urologist who diagnosed me with prostate cancer and who also performed the operation. As I post this video the closest thing to pain I have is that it feels like Ive done about a million sit-ups. My parting gift was a catheter and a pee bag, which I hardly notice. However I cant wait to get it taken out on Thursday. Youll notice that I was groggy after the surgery but bounced back since I was flying an RC heli in my room. I dont have the OR video but Dr. Butler has promised it to me in a couple of weeks. Was I nervous, you bet but I feel a lot better now knowing it has been taken care of. If you're considering the robotic surgery, I would highly recommend it and if you're in the Milwaukee, WI area, Waukesha Memorial.

  • Hope you are well now. That scene with you flying the heli is pretty funny.

  • Best wishes for a prompt recovery. Blessings.

  • Thanks so much:)

  • Thanks Rob. I was nervous as I got closer to the day. Today I feel like I've done about a million sit ups but am told that will go away. Going down to my work area (hanger) to work on a plane.

  • Paul, I'm so glad to hear the surgery went well. You're doing a great service by posting these video diaries. Glad to hear you're back in the "hangar" jw

  • Hi Paul,

Glad to see that everything went great. I saw you getting in the car to leave just as I was arriving at the hospital for an appt. Sounds like you're in the clear. We'll have to both get "Survivor" buffs to wear at work this summer!

    Take care and heal quickly,

    Trish
