A combination of two existing copies of this brilliant 1988 advert for British Rail. One had good audio and bad video, one had good video and bad audio. This video combines the good audio and video.

I think this must be one of the best corporate ads ever filmed. Not only is it beautifully filmed but it also very well illustrated the scope of BR's operations. It is now a real look into a lost world, both when we had a national integrated railway and British owned heavy industry. A lovely bit of nostalgia too for the days when there were 'proper' locos on the railways. :-)

The clip of the HST heading north over the Royal Border Bridge is a good un, I was driving it! 43064, was the number, if anyones' interested!

One of the finest corporate ads ive seen and brings a tear to my eye every time i see it. It is such a shame, our envied rail network,it is such a shame. :(

@ 1:55 they could of chosen a clean hst, but i guess that was the 80`s were nobody gave a damm bout what people thought ;-)
