I struggle with these issues on a regular basis. Most agree that society needs property rights and civil law. This is a government, no matter what you call it

I guess I wish I existed in a culture where certain things were not on the table. Like using force to regulate whether people drink or smoke. If a determined minority feels that they are obligated to enforce morality as they see fit, I'm not sure that any government, or no government can really restrain them. Only culture restrains people

lol yes good point, but i could say the same thing about the relationship between you and Stef's word.

Its not just the dictionary, its also the complete history of human civilization and basic human nature im factoring in.

Im sorry if i have offended your beliefs, if this is a "waste of time" to you, ill stop.

If the best you can do is make an appeal to the dictionary rather than consider something outside of your rather closed mind, then I'll not waste my time any further.

Well its not an "argument", its in the definition of the very word "civilization". Call it a "state" or "government" -some form of authority is needed to hold Civ.

My point is that if you want individual liberty now rather than never you should not ignore democracy, we should embrace it (i agree, not voting like a mindless drone, but like a politically aware being)

If Stef held any stake at all in this country and its people, i doubt he would have such an unproductive message (on this clip).

Sure you can. The argument that you can't have civilization without an entity that claims a monopoly on initiation of force just false. A civilization is not necessarily defined by a government. Your argument begs the question by presupposing that need.

ok, label me what you will.

but you do understand you cant define the term civilization without the words state, authority, or government(of at-least some form). (granted there is no holy-ghost-man watching over us...right?)

This seems to be the "god question" for anarchists, they just wont touch it with any form of logical reasoning.

If you need a form of "authority" to hold civilization together, would the ideal form not be democratic/ collective?

Its a valid debate topic for the clip, no?

You could have just said that you're another flavor of statist and be done with it rather than make all of the verbose comments.

Propaganda- “information, ideas, or rumors deliberately spread widely_ to help or harm a person, group, movement, institution, nation, etc.”

The catch here is there is no “movement” it’s a force of inactivity and cynicism with complete submission to the Messiah. He is your God/King and his law is of almost divine nature to you, its followed without question, And those who speak freely against the waves of inactivity… well just read what people post about me.
