In Ontario, it's illegal to hunt from a vehicle, and illegal to hunt on a public road.

im well aware of this, thats why i was not in the vehicle when i shot and yes i is illegal to hunt from a public road but that road is an inactive logging road with moose camps all up and down it , plenty of moose are shot on or from that road every season

Very sad to see you are training your son to be a poor sportsman. Shooting grouse on the ground is unsportsmanlike, and doing so from the car is likely illegal depending on what state you are in. Posting this video on the web is fuel for the anti-hunting groups!

Buy or adopt yourself a bird dog and learn to hunt properly!

would you people shut the fuck up about this im sick of hearing you piss and moan what the fuck is the difference the birds gunna end up dead anyway and ive had lots on the ground that have gotten away just s easily as i they were in the air, i am NOT a POACHER i do not illeagally, shooting grouse is shooting grouse and its a free country so you hunt whatever way you want as long a its legal, i bowhunt deer and if you know anything about that thats as sportsmanlike as you can get.

Patruick94 is dead on right. I have hunted grouse almost everyday in the fall for years and have yet to swat one from a car. If my dad had seen me do that he would have shoved my shotgun up my rear end. Neat you're training you're kids to give 'em a sporting chance. It's great you post you're hunting prowess on the internet as well. Helps the sport a lot.

Shooting grouse on the ground is not illegal and if it was thhan yes i would wait until they fly i have shot plenty of grouse out of the air but wat does it really matter the bird it dead either way.

and whats wrong with shooting a bird on the ground? i dont use a dog, only MY eyes, MY ears, and MY skills...figure if i am good enough to locate a bird, and get a shot before the bugger takes off ON MY OWN, then good for me. i'll take the shot everytime, because that kind of luck doesnt happen that often. so quit the 'holier than thou' crap

cheers 2 all u good hunters..... first let me say that when we go moose hunting we always shoot grouse and we try not to shoot them on the fly ....and were real hunters that not many people i know can match me on the wing i shoot 95 to 98 on the trap and bealeave me i can prove it .....if knows anything hunting its more sportman to shoot em on the ground cause you can retreave em ...ps i,m sure the kid was moose hunting ..... good video kid .. and for the wannabes kiss my ass...........

i live in alaska and let me tell you that this is pretty much how we hunt them. you find them eating small rocks and gravel, shoot them, and eat them. its alot better than being on a snowmachine and just slaughtering them. the snowmachiners pretty much wiped them out were i moose hunt

All you people who say its unsportsman like to shoot a grouse on the ground can shove it up ur ass.. there is not one thing wrong with someone taking a grouse on the ground!! thats like saying using a dog is unethical because your not finding the bird on your own your dog needs to do it for you.. its bullshit. o and for all u who think its unsportsman like.. i got 2 on the ground with one shot last week haha!!!

holy crap, i cant believe some of these comments. I hunt grouse every chance I get once the season starts, I have yet to ever even have an oppourtunity to shoot one on the fly. These arn't pheasants that live in a field, they live in the thickest bush you can find because they spend the majority of their life on the ground. I challenge anyone to shoot grouse on the fly in that kind of habitat. You wouldnt even have room to swing your gun.. Nice to see a family hunting together, good vid.
