In this 1965 interview, Hitchcock discusses - partly in French - "La Mort aux Trousses" (French title for "North by Northwest"), and in particular the famous "that's funny - he's dusting crops where there ain't no crops" scene.

  • Excellent! I love Hitch's delight in describing the elements of this world famous scene.

  • i love seeing these french interviews because he's not playing the hitchcock persona the way he does when he did interviews in english media. you can really get inside his head. he's amazing and will always be my favorite director because he worked in the language of pure cinema. can't thank you enough for uploading this.

  • Great to see Hitchcock so good humoured and energised. While his dour, slow speaking persona was very witty in interviews, it's very refreshing to see him like this.

  • His actually pretty funny guy

  • @megamatt53 Stupid? Dude his got that greater than life character look on his face, and i envy him having a such a dramatic face.

  • Most current directors would get a lot out of these Hitchcock interviews.

  • HITCHCOCK ALWAYS HAS THAT STUPID LOOK ON HIS FACE LOL

  • Wow, what a master.

  • Great upload. Thank you.

  • Nice quality.
