@HouzanSuzuki Thank you for the reply.

Happy new year.
This dinner is stuff of a restrant.
An owner of this restrant brings up most vegetables with his hand. Of course, it is no agricultural chemical.
Incidentally my wife always makes homemade bread.

By the way, is Singaporean New Year by Anno Domini(=Gregorian calendar) or by the old calendar?

We use the Gregorian calendar in general, but we also use the Chinese Lunar calendar to mark chinese festival occasions (which are merely excuses to eat more....hahaha)
Does Japan use the lunar calendar together with the Gregorian calendar as well?

Thank you.
Perhaps we use the old calendar and the lunar calendar together in a religion ceremony peculiar Japan.

De la bonne cuisine Française! I like the way you swing the baseball bat. Can you tell me what the ringing of the bell and the hand clapping mean?

Thank you.
We shake bell of a Shinto shrine, is the greetings that came in prayer.
It is the same as you(we)ringing main entrance of someone else.
We clap hands twice after bowing twice. And then, bow once at last.
This is simple manners and customs.
There is not a big meaning for me.(^_^)
