This works well in a YouTube window because real time was 10 minutes.

The favored Hurricanes and Heisman Trophy winner Vinny Testaverde took over at their own 23 yard line with 3:07 remaining, trailing Penn State 14-10, in the national championship game in Tempe, Arizona.

I hate to label this 1987 because it was the 1986 season, but the game took place on January 2, 1987.

The NBC announcers are Charlie Jones on play by play, with Jimmy Cefalo and Bob Griese as analysts.

  • Knock off the profanity and crude language. That's not a mere suggestion.

First of all, it makes you look like fools, secondly it's a remarkable waste of time because as soon as I notice a comment like that it will be deleted, and the author potentially banned, if it's a multiple offender or a particularly extreme example.

I understand Penn St fans defensive regarding claims the better team did not win. But I'm sick of more profane comments on this topic than all my YouTube videos combined.

  • @loyaldude10 i guess i'll let you have your victory, and won't argue with your glory memories and i won't tarnish that since penn state did win that day. i don't personally feel the best team won, but hell it's the past. i will let the penn state fans enjoy that moment b/c they do need it, considering all of the recent controversy. it'll be a while before penn state gets back to championship level play without joe pa. and that's me giving credit to paterno, not trying to diss penn state

  • @loyaldude10 So you're another genius who thinks that a meager, one-sentence-entry timeline is enough to come to a conclusion regarding what occurred over the last ten years? Wake up. The asleep-at-the-wheel Board of Trustees threw Joe under the bus knowing that those of you whose attention is captivated by shiny things would be mesmerized into thinking that they actually know how it all transpired. PSU's VP of business affairs, counsel, AD, and Pres are looking at criminal charges. Stay tuned.

  • @watch2112 ---bet u wish u could take this back now.

  • @loyaldude10 Good Guys Ha!!! I bet Sandusky even then was messing with little boys.

  • @watch2112 LMFAO

  • The aggravating thing is, the Slot receiver is one on one and gets wide friggin open in the back of the end zone. Vinny went to where they had 4 defenders, and someone from PSU's coaching staff told me it was a mistake on the players part due to a call foul up. Vinny went right into it, threw it flat and didn't even try and loft it over them even at that. Ridiculous.

  • @TideatMileHigh ---the good guys really won this year---such a contrast between Miam's thig like players (though mild compared to players today) nad PSU's straight laced, team oriented, unspectacular team--build on good defense, good kicking game, short yardage passing, good specials teams, and few mistakes. Also one of the few yrs PSU was able to beat Bama; it was quite one sided.

  • "Vinegar" Vinnie! Lol

  • @AwsiDooger cool story bro

  • The 2001 canes were the best canes team ever. Just look at the roster.
