A video submitted for "A Day Without Dignity" - an action of bloggers etc in response to Tom's Shoes "One Day Without Shoes" http://goodintents.org/in-kind-donations/a-day-without-dignity
Tom's Shoes donations of free externally produced shoes does nothing to and development and self-determination in poor communities world wide. Instead it can harm the local economy, the shoemakers, cobblers, herdsmen, tanners, etc. This video contrasts local shoemakers, cobblers, and merchants with the general demographic of folks promoting and taking part in "One Day Without Shoes" The track is Goody Two Shoes by Adam Ant.
