Any idea on height, speed and direction? Looks like it reflects against the cloud base any ideas? At least you can't see port and stbd marker lights, I Iive near the wolds and hear lots of odd low flying air craft at funny hours but try to work from the explainable out.

that looks alot like something i have seen. i live on garrowby hill and always seem to see this light on a sunday for some reason... last time i saw it it was moving slowly and then dropped something burning out of it and then flew off fast??? :S

It's lighting the cloud base above, oooh aliens to slow to bright it's the light from an aircraft, white light from a normal aircraft.

Thanks for the comments, you are right it dose change speed which would rule out a bengal light, also a true bengal light would be pale blue.
