yeah think battletech version of "uncanny resemblance" to Eve Online from a technical point of view. Gameplay is VERY different from EO, though. Much more friendly to what EO would call "carebear players", no gate camping, etc... less risk for ganking and scams.
not actually that bad of a game--it has some merits--just kind of empty, community-wise at the moment. Needs more players & content. We'll see...
