Rookie NASCAR driver Michael McDowell drives Aaron's Toyota Camry #00 for Michael Waltrip Racing. A former World Karting Association champion, McDowell won Rookie of the Year in the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series.

On April 4, 2008, while running qualifying laps for the Samsung 500 at the Texas Motor Speedway, McDowell lost control heading into Turn 1, causing the car to roll eight times and eventually land on its wheels. McDowell walked away from the crash with only minor injuries.
