The whole community always wondered why and how tapered bands are faster and more powerful. Lots of theories and guesses, but no data.
This changed when Destin came to Germany, with his great professional grade super high speed cam in tow!

Anyway, this video demystifies tapered bands. The hi speed video allows accurate acceleration graphs, and side by side comparisons.

Great video. It makes sense since tapered bands have less mass at the pouch and should be able to accelerate faster. It would be interesting to see how much weigh you've reduced by tapering and do some math. A ratio of band length to weight would definately be better with tapered bands.
