720p HD. Just some random footage from the first level of Crysis Warhead. This was captured at 1280x720 resolution. Based on my current resources, it would take about 90 minutes to upload a ten minute clip. Let's see how it goes and if I can find some workable settings, I will upload the remaining videos in 720p HD.

But if the file size is too big, then I will have to postpone HD walkthroughs until the ISPs in the UK get their act together and allow a greater upload speed (currently mine is only about 80KB/sec).

Computer Specs:
GPU = MSI R3870X2 T2D1G (1GB RAM)
CPU = Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 2.66GHz
RAM = 4GB DDR2*
OS = Windows XP SP3
* only 3GB available under XP

Voice commentary via AT&T Natural Voices software.
Video captured using Fraps.
Video edited using Ulead Videostudio 11.

  • Every now and then theres a game made that pushes the envelope,and only a NASA supercomputer (being metaphorical) can run it on the time of release. There was "Far Cry","Fear" and then "Crysis". Average gamers can only run them maxed out 2 or maybe 3 years later of their release. Its cool that they do it though. Oh,and GTA 4 is the same too,but it was unintentional (crappy porting).

  • I suppose it's a good trick to make people buy the latest hardware. Unfortunately, even the latest hardware (single gpu solution) can't run this game maxed out at 1080p resolution with full AA.

  • What video card did you use for this? will the GeForce 9800 GT be able to handle this settings? I'm planning on buying this and a few extra rams so I can play this any thoughts Blade?

  • I'm using an R3870x2. See video info for full details. As for the 9800GT, it can run everything on max settings. I bought one originally, but it kept crashing after about 3 minutes (while playing Warhead). So I returned it. Maybe I was unlucky and got a bad card. You might have better luck. But I would recommend getting a dual gpu card, for a game like this. Maybe a GX2, if you're not an ATI fan?

  • this is on your computer right bladerunner?

  • Yes. Played and recorded by me.

  • Nice footage and btw love your name (which is a track from the movie).

  • i cant run any video with HD, because i have a slow connection. help me to use it properly.

  • Man, with crysis 2, they should release this and the first crysis to PS3! I miss the tropical theme and map maker. Its stupid, why must crysis 2 be in new york and be all aliens!

  • "HD allows you to enjoy the graphics a bit more"? That's an understatement! If only your first 2/3 walkthroughs could have been in HD. That would have been awesome. Keep it up Blade! I am eagerly anticipating your next Crysis Warhead walkthroughs.

  • Let's see what the Geforce 300 series can do.

  • Great Video Quality

  • This intro is SOOO much better, and in HD! WOHOO!!! :D
