It's been almost three years since the HVRHS class of 2012 lost one of its beloved classmates. I didn't know him as well as other people, but I know that he is and will always be remembered by a large population of Region 1. We miss you, Kaelan.

In his memory, look at nami.org WalksCT for the ThinkingKAPP Team (Kids Adults Parents Partnership) with his mom, Catherine Paton and others walking and supporting efforts for the Ntn's Alliance on Mental Illness...this is to help more teens and adults get help for troubles early on. Too many risk lives with drugs or suicide, and these are preventable losses. Let's pull together with Transition Town movements, and less meat, more networking to help each other. I think that's what Kaelan wants...

Kaelan's always in our hearts and minds even as his passing comes round to the two year mark, June 16,2011f. He was 16 and a half earth years old when he died, I feel his soul is timeless. But we need to think in 'here and now' terms to keep track of our lives..the emotions come like waves and there's a host of them around this loss..I do ask that all teens check with responsible adults about outings and be supervised..And don't do Dangerous Stuff, okay? Use good sense and report risks early.

i never was granded the honor of meeting kaelan. :( i heard he was a great kid.. im sorry for everyone's loss. i would have been going to his school this upcoming year.. :(
