This month we will be covering a state of mind known as centering. Some of you may know it as being mindful, being "in the zone" or having the one mind. It is a very fundamental mental pattern that operates in all people at the lowest mental levels.

Centering is reinforced by mind-body skills such as meditation, tai chi and qi kung, but is also reinforced by other everyday activities we do in our lives. The secret to becoming more centered or more mindful lies in the quality of our thinking and how we do things.

  • "When you improve the quality of your thinking you improve the quality of your life." I love that statement. Equating "Centering" to the dictum Nosce te Ipsum or Know thyself, is an awesome and smooth transition into your discussion. Thanks for the post...

  • Concise, easy to understand and follow.
