Remembering Camp Rock chapter 21

Later in that day....
Nate: Okay so let me get this straight...she woke you up around 2:45 to tell you about a dream she had?
Shane: Yeah except it wasn't a dream...it was a memorey.
Nate: What memorey?
Shane: *drops his head in disappointment* The day I found out she had been lying...
Nate: And what day was that?
Shane: The day you and Jason came to perform our new song with me.
Nate: Oh...the day you were really happy...and when I say "were" I mean had been...
Shane: Not helping Nate.
Nate: Okay so you never exactly told me what had gone on between you and her that day. So please...don't skip anything. *sits on his bed and leans back with his head in his arms*
Shane: *sighs* I hadn't known she had been lying to me...and when I found out I was crushed...
Jason: Because you loooved her.
Shane: Jason quit randomly popping into our conversations!
Jason: Sorry...
Shane: So I got angry well...because...because..
Nate: Because you were hiding the fact that you were deeply hurt.
Shane: No I didn't hide that fact. So I kinda..yelled at her...but I didn't realize how much I had hurt her. And how she wasn't even trying to lie to me in the first place.
Nate: And she dreamt that whole incident.
Shane: Yeah...
Nate: And you didn't tell her it was a memorey AGAIN?
Shane: I didn't want to tell her THAT was a memorey! She'd hate me! You don't understand how terrified she sounded when she told me about it.
Nate: What happens if she finds out you lied?
Shane: I didn't lie! I never said anything about it being a memorey so techincally I didn't do anything wrong.
Nate: Except keeping the truth from her.
Shane: Yeah the truth that she doesn't need to know.
Nate: Oh I think she needs to know this.
Shane: No she doesn't!
Nate: Well you've gotten yourself in quite some pickle mister Gray. It would've been better if you just told her from the start that way when you actually DO tell her she won't be so upset as to why you kept it from her.
Shane: Nate all I got out of that was pickle.
Nate: Urgh! And they say Jason's the one that doesn't get it!
Jason: Yeah I do get it. Nate's telling you that if you would have just told Mitchie it was a memorey before it was too late maybe things would be fine. Because if you wait too long to say it she might not trust you again.
Nate: I wasn't being serious Jason!
Jason: Oh.
Shane: *rubs his temples* I need to find more people to hang out with.
