  • A living legend. One of the few of my heroes I have not met.

  • ♥ Brian's good to his fans. Glad he's doing alright these days.

  • Grizzly Bear? Nah, I think you mean Animal Collective (esp. Feels, Merriweather Post Pavillion and Panda Bear's Person Pitch). They took SO many things from Brian like recording ambient sounds, pattern and symmetry use, juvenile voices, world instruments, and of course their American psychedelic style. And most of all their voices just SOUND LIKE THE BEACH BOYS. Animal Collective just amplified everything.

  • "Modern music lacks heart and soul." I wish more people would admit to that. See, I'm a rare one. My Dad is a musicals fan and he made sure my choices in music didn't fall into the current state the business is in. At 32, I love the music I grew up with up to about 1996, but I also love the songwriters of the 20s-40s...and then there's Brian Wilson, who I think is the greatest of them all. Who else could possibly be worthy of sharing a writing credit with that of Gershwin or Chuck Berry?

  • What a joy to be able to see this. Thanks for uploading and thank you Brian - for everything.

  • Hey Brian

  • Thanks for the upload.....Brian is the greatest .....and yet so humble!
