The DF4B was developed in 1984. Their engine was modified from DF4 and were divided into "Passenger" (orange) and "Freight" types (green). They were distributed all over the country.
It is difficult to classify the green DF4 into DF4, DF4A and DF4B. We can only judge them from their numbers.
You are welcome! I think you can distinguish the DF4/DF4A or DF4B by the grill. But the train no. is the most effective method to let you differentiate that.
