Gruinard Island off the West of scotland was the site of anthrax testing in 1942 (destined for Germany). 80 sheep were taken to the island , the anthrax spores were released and all died within days.

Gruinard Island remained contiminated and no go until 2007.

  • Not digging the music. Not digging the effects either. Sometimes it's better just to let the footage speak for itself.

  • Great sound, terrible human race, as if our world is not already a sewer, they want to drag us all under the crap and drown us all. History forgets how we really are deep down inside.

  • go on to google maps, and check for Peterhead then look directly west until u come off the land and hit an island as we know as Gruinard. all of the seroundings, ven the sea is visable but as soon as you hit the sand on the island its totally blurred off! Haha, indeed quite dodgy...

if theres something that we should know, other than whats in the description of this video, people dont want us to know about it! hmmm...

  • @jambun1

Where are the other 2 sites?...is one of them Vozrozhdeniya/Rebirth Island?

  • @BigT0312

They were using animals because anthrax has the same effect on them as it does on us, so whatever happened to the sheep would probably happen to us.

  • You got a little bit of the description wrong, the island was declared decontaminated and safe in 1990, they also put more sheep on the island, as of 2007 non of the sheep have died or got infected by anthrax.

  • I keep coming back to this something quite sickening about it, to kill a man face to face or bullet for bullet, but to try to use something that is like casting seeds on the wind and hoping for the best seems to be a kind of moral suicide for humanity, what happened to these people who planned this imagine what they might have gone on to do they could be living next door to you.

  • The island was clean in the 80s and was deemed safe in the 80s so your dates are wrong

  • @cullyvan Greetings :) you can find me at Facebook Peter Wilson, Espoo, Finland
